Yet Another Survey, Yet Another Winner

A new survey by the UK based market research company Which? has shown that Virgin is considered as the best mobile broadband service provider in the UK by the customers. What raises doubts on the accuracy of the survey results is the fact that T-Mobile was voted as the UK’s most preferred mobile broadband service provider just recently by a YouGov survey, which was quite comparable to the Which? one in its methodology and topic.

The YouGov poll had put T-Mobile on top in 9 out of 13 aspects of a mobile broadband service, while the Which? survey puts Virgin on top in 3 out of 3 categories researched. According to experts this major deviation in survey results can be explained by several factors, such as what was the composition of the group of respondents in each survey and in what kind of setup were the questions asked.

The latest survey has put Virgin’s service on top in terms of its usability, its customer service levels and its ease of installation. On the other hand, Vodafone mobile broadband was shown as having the most difficult setup, i.e. the customers found its service unfriendly. O2 also had something to cheer as its customer service was put along with Virgin’s at the top. Other companies covered by the survey include 3, T-Mobile and Orange.
