Ive stumbled upon a handy way to make cheap calls to Hungary which I just have to share. I finally got a broadband internet connection and have now discovered that its actually possible to make phone calls through the internet using voice over IP or VoIP as its more commonly known. Its great, you use your phone as normal but you dont have to pay the charge for using the normal phone network so you can make phone calls much cheaper. I think you can actually ring other VoIP users for free as well.
Its a great way to save some money, especially as Christmas is rapidly approaching ” I might actually be able to buy people some half decent presents this year rather than just opting for the easy options of vouchers or socks. It can be a bit of a nightmare when you have lots of people to keep in contact with who live overseas. At least I will not have to put up with the hassle of buying an endless stream of phone cards anymore. Those long access numbers really started to annoy me!
I cannot believe its taken me so long to get broadband internet as well, I am so far behind the times. Ill be able to order all my shopping for Christmas online, so I wont even have to brave the cold weather and long queues!
